Accounting & Finance Manager

We are hiring a hands-on Accounting & Finance Manager to take ownership of our accounting and help bring clarity to the financial side of our business. This role is responsible for both day-to-day accounting and higher-level financial insight including P&L reporting, cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting. You will work directly with ownership to support better decisions, improve margins, and strengthen the financial foundation of the company. This position replaces a mix of internal and outsourced accounting functions, with the goal of bringing more control, accuracy, and visibility in-house. This is not a sit-back accounting role. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks ahead, and wants to grow with the company. Core Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations (A/P, A/R, reconciliations) Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Prepare and deliver monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements Track costs, margins, and job profitability Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting Identify trends, issues, and opportunities within the numbers Bring payroll processing in-house and manage payroll Oversee employee benefits and related costs Improve and streamline accounting processes and workflows Coordinate with external CPA/accounting partners What Success Looks Like Financials are clean, accurate, and delivered on time Leadership has clear visibility into profitability and costs You can explain the numbers in a simple, useful way Budgets and forecasts are actively used not just created You bring solutions, not just reports You reduce the owner's workload not add to it Who This Role is For You'll be a strong fit if you: Take ownership and follow through Want to understand the business not just the numbers Are organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Can communicate clearly and confidently Enjoy improving systems and processes Who This Role is NOT For Someone who only wants to process transactions Someone who needs constant direction Someone looking for a large corporate accounting environment Work Environment On-site role in a growing manufacturing business Direct access to ownership and decision-making Fast-paced, hands-on environment Opportunity to grow into a larger role over time
