  • Full-time Job Summary The Wyandotte Tribe of Oklahoma (WTOK) is the Wyandotte Nation's federally chartered corporation and drives economic development for the Tribe.

WTOK is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations and play a key role in driving financial accuracy, efficiency, and insight across the organization of accounting operations. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on leader and strategic partner; someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys improving processes, and is passionate about developing high-performing teams. This position reports to the WTOK CFO, and is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting, managing daily accounting functions, and developing scalable processes that support business growth. Responsibilities Lead and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance Manage the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting Prepare and review financial statements, general ledger activity, and reconciliations Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement Partner with the CFO on year-end audit preparation and external audit coordination Support budgeting and forecasting processes with meaningful financial insights Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance workflow and efficiency Provide guidance and support on complex or non-routine accounting transactions Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff; set goals and support ongoing professional growth Address employee relations matters including performance, attendance, and development Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to support business objectives Participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as needed Experience Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting operations Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Experience working with large datasets and financial analysis tools Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong communication and leadership abilities with a collaborative approach High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities Experience in multi-entity or complex organizational structures preferred Background in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Experience supporting audits and financial reporting requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a Wyandotte Nation Gaming License Ability to work onsite, 5 days per week Must reside within a commutable distance (approximately 25 miles)
