Accounting Manager Accounting Manager Monday - Friday Days Food Manufacturing $90,000 - $120,000 Arlington, WA (relocation package on offer) We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a fast-paced, food manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role will act as the financial leader on-site, driving strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and operational partnership across the plant. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a high-accountability environment and is passionate about cost visibility, inventory accuracy, and continuous financial improvement. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the plant general ledger ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies Establish and maintain strong internal controls, including segregation of duties and approval workflows Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness Lead cost accounting activities including standard costing, BOMs, labor, and overhead allocation Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead, scrap, yield) and partner with operations to drive improvements Manage inventory valuation and lead cycle counts and physical inventory processes Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysis Act as the primary contact for external auditors and ensure audit readiness Track capital expenditures and support depreciation and capitalization processes Drive system improvements, reporting enhancements, and ERP utilization Provide financial insights to corporate finance, plant leadership, and PE stakeholders Promote financial discipline and accountability across the site Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred) 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience (food or process manufacturing preferred) Strong experience with cost accounting, inventory, AP, AR, and payroll Proven leadership and team management experience Experience supporting external audits in a manufacturing environment ERP system experience (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, Infor, etc.)
