Job Description

Pinnell's Carpet One is seeking a full-time Accounting & Order Processing Assistant to join our team in Angels Camp, CA. This is a behind-the-scenes role for someone who genuinely enjoys accuracy, organization, numbers, data entry, and detailed follow-through. The right candidate will take pride in keeping records accurate, orders moving, invoices matched correctly, and customers and vendors properly supported. About the Role This position supports our accounting, order processing, and office operations. You will help enter and review orders, process invoices, support accounts payable and accounts receivable, maintain accurate records, and assist with communication between sales, scheduling, warehouse, vendors, and customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys structured work, careful details, and learning the financial and operational side of a local business. Over time, the role may grow into additional bookkeeping, accounting, and finance-related responsibilities. Training & Support You do not need to be an expert in accounting or flooring products on day one. We provide training on our systems, processes, and procedures. The most important qualities are accuracy, dependability, willingness to learn, and pride in doing things correctly. What You'll Do Accounts Payable Enter and post vendor invoices accurately Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation Verify vendor statements and help resolve discrepancies Maintain organized vendor files and payment records Accounts Receivable / Billing Receive and post customer payments and deposits Apply payments to the correct customer and job Prepare and record bank deposits Assist with billing, credits, refunds, and customer balance questions Order Entry / Job Setup Review sales paperwork for completeness and accuracy Enter customer orders accurately in the system Generate purchase orders and job paperwork Maintain organized customer and job files Additional Support Assist with purchasing and order tracking Support claims, returns, and credits as needed Answer phones and assist with mail and general office tasks What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and accuracy Enjoyment of data entry, records, and organized processes Dependable, punctual, and accountable Comfortable using computers and learning new systems Professional communication and customer-service mindset Prior office, bookkeeping, AP/AR, billing, or order entry experience is a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits This is an hourly position, typically in the $22.00 - $26.00 per hour range depending on experience, accuracy, and growth potential.
