Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accounts Payable Deputy to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves managing the county's accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping to include paying weekly/monthly bills for all county departments, working on the county budget and audit with the county auditor. Tasks will include weekly/monthly deposits for the County Clerk's office, preparation of monthly reports of fees along with learning all other processes of the County Clerk's office. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate a strong work ethic and possess a passion to be a team player along with maintaining a willingness to learn new processes. Duties Process and verify all accounts payable transactions using the county's accounting software . Perform work to prepare budget reports and budget prep for each county department. Manage invoice processing, coding, and approval workflows efficiently while adhering to county policies Conduct timely vendor payments through the county accounts payable system, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment schedules Maintain detailed records of accounts payable activities. Collaborate with county auditor on budgets, audits, internal controls, and process improvements to optimize financial workflows Experience Proven knowledge in accounts payable with a strong understanding of financial processes such as bank statement reconciliation, preparing monthly reports.​ Join our team to play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our accounts payable operations!
