Job Description
Join a Growing Accounting Team CPC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting Team at either our home office in Fountain Run, Kentucky or our satellite office in Antioch, Tennessee. This newly created position will play an important role in strengthening CPC's accounts receivable processes across multiple divisions while helping improve visibility, reporting, and collection performance. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable communicating with both customers and internal teams. This role combines traditional accounts receivable responsibilities with ownership of reporting, customer account management, and process coordination related to our customer payment platform. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys using data, communication, and problem-solving skills to help drive operational success. What You'll Do As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will support the accuracy, effectiveness, and day-to-day management of CPC's accounts receivable operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Monitor and track accounts receivable activity across multiple CPC divisions Manage and maintain CPC's third-party customer payment platform, ensuring accurate account setup, payment application, and effective system usage Prepare and distribute timely accounts receivable reports to sales representatives and leadership to support collection efforts and account visibility Partner with internal teams to use aging and payment data as a tool to improve collection performance and reduce outstanding balances Research and resolve customer account discrepancies, billing concerns, short payments, and payment application issues Communicate professionally with customers regarding account balances, payment status, and account questions Establish and maintain customer credit limits and payment terms in accordance with company procedures Assist with evaluating customer credit information and supporting account setup processes Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentation Support continuous improvement of accounts receivable workflows and reporting processesWhat We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
Experience in accounts receivable, accounting support, or bookkeeping functions Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to analyze information and identify discrepancies or trends Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to manage confidential financial information professionallyPreferred Qualifications:
Experience working with customer payment platforms or online payment systems Experience with collections support and aging report management QuickBooks experience preferred Exposure to NetSuite or other ERP systems strongly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications Experience establishing customer credit terms or managing customer account setup Why Join CPC?
