Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Activities Assistant to enrich the lives of our residents by planning and facilitating engaging recreational activities. The ideal candidate will possess experience in senior care, memory care, or assisted living environments, with a passion for creating meaningful experiences that promote socialization, well-being, and independence. Responsibilities Develop and implement diverse activity programs tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and cognitive levels, including those with Alzheimer's and dementia. Coordinate with staff to ensure activities support residents' physical, emotional, and social needs.. Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure a balanced and engaging calendar of events. Foster a positive environment that encourages participation and social interaction among residents. Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to customize activities for individual needs. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity outcomes to support ongoing care plans. Skills Proven experience in event planning within assisted living, nursing homes, or senior care settings. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and recreational therapy techniques. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members. Ability to assist residents with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving support. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or aging-related issues. Excellent schedule management skills to organize daily activities efficiently. Familiarity with long-term care practices and home & community care environments.
