Raymond Laborde Correctional Center, located in Cottonport, LA, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to assist in the daily operations of the Mental Health Department. As the Administrative Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the in the support of the Mental Health team. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:
Prepares, prints, and distributes callouts for group therapy sessions, individual appointments, and other Mental Health programming, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Manages offender information within departmental and facility databases , including adding, updating, and removing records to ensure data integrity and compliance with documentation standards. Generates, organizes, and transmits callout schedules and related documentation for two Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioners assigned to RLCC, including faxing and electronic distribution. Compiles, formats, and prepares Mental Health reports , pulling data from multiple sources and ensuring reports are complete, accurate, and submitted within required deadlines. Retrieves, tracks, and logs Mental Health records upon request , following all privacy, security, and facility protocols for protected health information. Serves as the primary timekeeper for the Mental Health Department , maintaining attendance records, processing timesheets, and resolving timekeeping discrepancies. Processes, sorts, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail for Mental Health staff, ensuring timely routing and proper handling of confidential materials. Maintains organized filing systems , including scanning, uploading, and filing documentation in both paper and electronic formats to support compliance and audit readiness. Provides general administrative support to Mental Health leadership and clinical staff , including scheduling, document preparation, communication assistance, and other duties as assigned.

Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted. An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted. This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
