Paid vacation and holidays About Peace Lutheran Church Peace is a vibrant, growing faith community in the Brazos Valley, committed to welcoming all people, deepening faith, and living out justice and hospitality. Position Summary Peace seeks an experienced, mission-oriented parish administrator to serve as the operational heart of the congregation in College Station — providing administrative and facilities leadership so the pastor can focus on pastoral and programmatic work. The parish administrator is the primary in-person presence in the church office and first point of contact for members, guests, and vendors. Essential Responsibilities Office, Communications and Support
  • Anchor the parish office as its primary in-person presence, managing communications (phone, email, in-person) with discretion and pastoral sensitivity, and maintaining a well-organized, hospitable environment.
  • Manage the congregation's calendar of events; assist with the pastor's calendar and correspondence; support preparation for congregation council meetings and the annual meeting of the congregation; assist with logistics for weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other pastoral offices.
  • Finalize and print all worship bulletins (drafted by the director of music) and manage parish-wide announcements.
  • Oversee basic parish communications: keep the website current, manage the e-newsletter, and oversee facility and event signage. Facilities Management
  • Serve as primary staff contact for building operations across parish property; manage vendor contracts; manage rental/tenant relationships, including music lessons in the sanctuary; liaise with the buildings and grounds committee; coordinate building security and access.
Qualifications Required:
At least 3 years administrative management experience (nonprofit, faith community, or similar preferred); strong written and verbal communication skills; discretion with confidential information; genuine commitment to the congregation's mission.
Preferred:
Familiarity with Christian liturgy; experience managing facilities; basic communications and website management background; Canva Image software. Work Environment Peace Lutheran Church is an accessible building alongside a busy, noisy road (FM 2818). The role requires sitting and computer work, use of standard office equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. This is a primarily an in-person position.
