Additional Information About the Role Memorial Hospital Belleville is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative EMS System Administration Coordinator to support the operational and administrative functions of our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) System. This is a highly administrative position that requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. The EMS System Administration Coordinator will spend a significant portion of their time utilizing Microsoft Office applications and other electronic systems to support EMS operation Flexible start time between 7am-8am Mon-Fri No Holidays 2 Weekends per year Overview Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care including Children's at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. In addition, Memorial Belleville recently was accredited by the American College of Radiology as a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008, it has been designated as a Magnet®-recognized organization for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Memorial Hospital Shiloh , a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital was recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose This role provides comprehensive administrative support to the EMS System Manager in overseeing the operational and administrative aspects of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) System. This role serves as the primary point of contact for EMS providers, agencies, and stakeholders, ensuring efficient coordination of licensing, credentialing, training, and compliance activities across the service area. Responsibilities Procures, stores, inventories, and distributes pre-hospital patient care supplies and pharmaceuticals (including narcotics). Reviews pre-hospital patient care reports and prepares redacted reports for peer review meetings. Assists the EMS System Manager in developing and implementing administrative procedures, policies, and quality assurance measures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the EMS System. Coordinates EMS provider training and education, including class registrations, course materials, certifications, and compliance documentation. While using automated/electronic systems to manage pre-hospital provider licensure and certifications. Serves as the primary point of contact for EMS agencies, providers, and stakeholders, responding to inquiries, disseminating information, and coordinating meetings and events. Maintains accurate records, prepares reports, and ensures the timely distribution of meeting minutes, policy updates, and other relevant communications. Types and distributes memos, correspondence and reports and composes documents as needed.
