Position Summary At Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, Administrative Supervisors play a vital leadership role in delivering trauma-informed mental health services within their assigned region. Position Details As active members of the Leadership Team, they collaborate with fellow leaders to ensure alignment with the mission and values of Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch. The Administrative Supervisor contributes directly to achieving the organization's strategic goals and serves as a key liaison with external agencies and partners. Responsibilities Teamwork Facilitate and participate in meetings appropriate to the role as assigned by supervisor. Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals of the organization individually and as a team member. Participate and engage in monthly supervision/coaching meetings with the supervisor. Participate in required training as appropriate to the position and beneficial to YBGR. Compliance Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Monitor staff compliance with Administrative Rules of Montana, Council on Accreditation, and other governing bodies including mental health center and child placing agency licensing. Adhere to all policies, systems, safety requirements, and procedures of the organization. Training Responsible for ensuring appropriate staff training and education programs are provided. Provide training and ongoing support to staff including job specific training and professional development. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training employees. Management Demonstrates effective management of a team toward achievement of goals, including appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Directly supervise CBS program staff, and at minimum provide supervision monthly. Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings. Performance Deal constructively and helpfully with all other members of the organization. Be a professional representative of the organization to those outside it. Take the initiative to identify problems and seek out solutions. Contribute to community outreach and public relations of each community in assigned area. Conducts staff evaluations, job performance management (including coaching/counseling), and corrective action. Networking Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders and engage in regular communication, program planning and problem solving. Requirements Communication Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels. The ability to effectively interact and communicate with others. The person in this position will constantly communicate with co-workers, clients, their treatment team, and other parties. Child Abuse Clearance:
Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana. 3 years of professional experience in the human services field. A combination of previous professional experience and formal education from an accredited university may be considered in lieu of a degree. Willingness and ability to obtain certification in First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention. Skills Demonstrate being self-motivated, self-disciplined, and diligent with forward thinking. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to complex problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Education Bachelor's Degree in a human services or mental health related field of study. License Driver's License to operate passenger vehicle. Each day, YBGR's employees work with close to 1200 youth throughout Montana who struggle with controlling emotions and behaviors. YBGR has impacted more than 10,000 youth and their families since 1957 through Residential Services in Billings, Community Based Services throughout Montana, and the Yellowstone Academy in Billings.
