Salary:
$29,000-$31,00 DOE About Hilltop Hilltop United Methodist Church is an inclusive community of hospitality, healing, help, and hope, leading hearts to Christ. We are looking for a warm, organized, resourceful person to help the everyday life of Hilltop run well. This is a varied, hands-on position that combines administration, communications, ministry support, hospitality, and practical problem-solving. The right person will enjoy working with people, technology, and details—and won't mind occasionally rolling up their sleeves to solve an unexpected problem. A self-starter offers more than a completed task, they help set the standard and build up the culture! What You'll Do Keep the church organized and running smoothly. You'll help manage the church office, calendars, records, building use, supplies, technology, and the many details that keep ministry moving. Help Hilltop communicate well. You'll maintain our website and social media, prepare weekly communications and worship materials, and create simple, attractive graphics and promotional materials. You'll also help us build a stronger presence on Instagram. Support worship and ministry. You'll help prepare materials for worship and special events, coordinate with staff and volunteers, and help turn ministry ideas into clear, welcoming communication and action. Help make big things happen. You'll work closely with the pastor and ministry leaders to keep major initiatives organized—capturing decisions, tracking details, following up on next steps, and helping good ideas move from conversation to completion. Be a welcoming presence. You'll interact regularly with members, visitors, volunteers, community partners, vendors, and people who use our building. We especially value someone who enjoys building positive relationships across generations, including with our longtime members and volunteer maintenance team. Be willing to figure things out. Some days will involve technology or communications; others may involve calling a plumber, troubleshooting a problem, or dealing with something decidedly less glamorous. We don't expect you to be an expert at everything. We do expect you to be willing to find an answer, make a call, or get your hands dirty when necessary.
How You Work Matters:
We are looking for someone who is: Organized and dependable , with a knack for noticing details and following through. Warm and inclusive , and comfortable with people of different ages, backgrounds, abilities, and life experiences. Technologically curious & competent , including a willingness to use AI and other tools to make routine work more efficient. Operating knowledge of PC and Windows applications a must A good communicator , both in writing and in person. Self-directed , able to make appropriate day-to-day decisions without waiting for permission on every detail. Practical and resourceful , with a willingness to solve problems rather than simply identify them. Trustworthy and discreet , with a strong understanding of confidentiality and healthy boundaries. Flexible , able to move comfortably between important ministry work and the ordinary, Sometimes messy work of keeping a church running. Genuine Christian character . You don't have to know every software program, social media platform, or church system when you start. We care more about your ability to learn, think, communicate, and figure things out. What Success Looks Like You will help Hilltop become a place where: The office and everyday administration run smoothly. Communication is timely, welcoming, and current. Worship and ministry leaders have the support they need. Important projects don't get lost in the details. Visitors and members experience genuine hospitality.
