Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Hospital Collections Analyst to join a revenue cycle team focused on account resolution, payer follow-up, refunds, adjustments, and performance reporting. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate account management, identifying reimbursement issues, validating adjustment requests, and supporting data-driven operational decisions. The ideal candidate has experience working within a hospital revenue cycle environment, is comfortable navigating Epic, and enjoys analyzing trends, metrics, and reports to improve financial performance. Responsibilities
  • Review and resolve hospital accounts with government and commercial payers.
  • Investigate and validate adjustment requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Review and audit refund requests, verifying that refunds are appropriate and accurately processed.
  • Analyze account trends and reimbursement patterns to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor work queues and productivity metrics to support operational performance goals.
  • Generate and review reports using Excel to evaluate collection activity and financial outcomes.
  • Partner with internal teams and outsourced revenue cycle partners to ensure accountability and timely resolution of accounts.
  • Assist with auditing and quality assurance activities related to collections and account management.
