Job Description
Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Physician Collections Analyst to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. This role is responsible for resolving outstanding physician accounts, reviewing adjustment and refund requests, analyzing collection trends, and supporting performance initiatives through reporting and data analysis. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in Epic, has strong collections experience, and enjoys a metrics-driven environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Perform collections activities for physician accounts with both government and commercial payers. Research and resolve outstanding claims, denials, underpayments, and account balances. Review and validate adjustment requests to ensure they meet organizational guidelines and reimbursement policies. Audit and verify refund requests for accuracy and appropriateness before processing. Monitor and manage assigned work queues within Epic to ensure timely account resolution. Analyze collection trends, reimbursement patterns, and operational performance metrics. Generate and review reports in Excel to identify opportunities for process improvement. Partner with internal teams and outsourced revenue cycle vendors to improve account resolution and performance. Maintain accurate documentation and account notes within Epic. Support quality assurance and auditing efforts related to physician revenue cycle operations.
