Collections Specialist Factory Motor Parts Co paid holidays, sick time, 401(k), profit sharing Jul 28, 2026 Description We are looking for a skilled and motivated Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist who enjoys challenges and thrives in a fast-paced, team environment. This position will be responsible for maintaining customer accounts receivable including, collection of outstanding balances, and resolution of billing and payment discrepancies while providing excellent customer service.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Make collections calls to customers in a professional manner while maintaining and improving customer relations Utilize collection management software for efficient and effective handling of assigned accounts Review customer billing problems and resolve accounts receivable delinquencies in a timely manner Research internal and external questions regarding billings, payments, credits, and account balances Reconcile and provide updates to management, as appropriate, on assigned account portfolio Collaborate with the outside sales team to resolve customer payment issues
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Knowledge of key Credit and Collections policies and techniques Strong professional written and verbal communication skills Ability to perform research to ensure accuracy of customer accounts Ability to multi-task and prioritize while maintaining high attention to detail Identify and complete critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency Strong interpersonal skills and organizational awareness Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Bilingual language skills are also a plus Work will be performed in the corporate office
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, MN.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Previous business to business collections experience preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Associates Degree in Business or Accounting preferred We are an EEOC/AA Employer.
