Summary of Role:
Performs critical functions with regard to collection recoveries and correcting and maintaining member credit bureau information and disputes.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Prepare and send charged off accounts to third party collection agency and collection attorney. Process third party collection agency and collection attorney payments. Pulling loan documents and answering basic questions for attorneys and agencies Review of settlement offers per matrix Acquire and preserve knowledge of state and federal Laws as they pertain to loan collection, loan insurance, and fair credit Oversee the collection, correction, management of and response to all credit bureau information dispute issues. Maintain the proper interpretation and submission of credit bureau information and its effect of the membership, and also maintaining advanced knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and its attributes. Cross trained and serves as back up to the Loan and Share Mediation Specialist Processing of recoveries from attorneys and collection recovery agencies Other duties as needed
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Associate's degree from accredited college or university Minimum two (2) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Starting Compensation:
$18.91-$22.69/hr., plus a competitive benefits package Bilingual individuals who are fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply.
