The purpose of the Analyst, Analytics - Strategy position is to perform analysis on loan servicing strategies, business policies, processes, and performance champion/challenger tests.
Actively monitor the performance of strategies in productionAnalyze data to drive better business decisionsDevelop complex programming to extract and manipulate dataDevelop, monitor, and maintain complex strategies with the goal of optimizing high volume decisions to add intrinsic value to Credit AcceptanceDevelop and produce reports to measure the performance of champion/challenger tests, policies, and processesPerform analysis to solve business problems and drive better decisionsTranslate high level business goals into the tasks and technical specifications needed to accomplish the goal

Outcomes and Activities:
This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to our Southfield, Michigan office may be required. Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, etc. - preferred)2+ years' experience in an academic or professional setting using one or more of the following analytical tools SAS, SQL, Python or R2+ years' experience in an analytics setting, or a combination of higher education and experiencePreferred:
Graduate degree (Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics)Experience monitoring credit scorecards or collection scoresExperience testing system implementationsKnowledge of loan servicing functionsKnowledge of credit risk managementExperience with data analysisExperience running and creating reports in an analytical tool or in a business intelligence settingAbility to write, debug and optimize Python codeTargeted Compensation:
