Job Description
Job Summary A growing organization in Maitland, FL is hiring Bilingual English/Spanish Collectors for a temp-to-perm opportunity within its Collections team. This onsite role is ideal for a professional communicator who is comfortable handling high-volume phone outreach, discussing past-due accounts, and helping customers find practical payment solutions. This opportunity offers a supportive team environment, consistent weekday schedule, and a clear path to permanent employment for strong performers. Candidates will work closely with collections, customer service, accounting, finance, and servicing teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven setting where professionalism, reliability, and customer-focused communication are highly valued. Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers regarding past-due mortgage, HOA, and maintenance fee accounts.
- Conduct high-volume outreach by phone and other communication channels to resolve delinquent balances.
- Discuss account balances, negotiate payment arrangements, and follow established collection guidelines.
- Research payment issues, resolve account discrepancies, and accurately document all collection activity.
- Identify accounts requiring escalation and follow appropriate procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial conversations with professionalism and empathy. Compensation and Benefits
Pay:
$18 per hour while temporary.- Position type: Temp-to-perm.
Location:
Maitland, FL 32751.- Work arrangement: 100 percent onsite while temporary.

Monday and Tuesday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.Schedule:
Wednesday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.- Weekends are generally closed unless overtime is offered.
- After conversion to permanent employment, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid schedule based on business needs and performance.
- Bonus opportunity after conversion to permanent employment, with permanent employees earning approximately $800 per month in bonuses based on performance. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Contact customers regarding past-due accounts and support resolution of delinquent balances.
- Negotiate payment arrangements within established guidelines.
- Research account discrepancies and document customer interactions accurately.
- Collaborate with customer service, accounting, finance, and servicing teams.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM required.
- 2 or more years of collections, call center, customer service, sales, mortgage servicing, or related experience preferred.
- Strong verbal communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Professional and confident telephone presence.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial discussions with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required. Preferred Qualifications
- Previous collections experience strongly preferred.
- Mortgage servicing, financial services, real estate, hospitality, or vacation ownership experience is a plus.
- Experience working in a high-volume call center or customer account resolution environment is preferred.
- Sales experience with strong persuasion, negotiation, and relationship-building skills is helpful.
