Collector / Accounts Receivable SpecialistAutomotive Dealership | Rock Hill, SCJob OverviewA well-established automotive dealership in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Collector / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, collecting outstanding balances, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with company policies and collection procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, previous collections or accounts receivable experience, and the ability to work professionally with customers to resolve account issues.

Responsibilities Contact customers regarding past-due accounts via phone, email, and written correspondence. Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on delinquent accounts. Review customer accounts and payment histories to identify collection opportunities. Maintain accurate and detailed records of collection activities. Process payments and update account information in the dealership management system. Work closely with accounting, finance, and management teams to resolve account discrepancies. Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company guidelines related to collections. Provide professional and courteous customer service while handling sensitive financial matters. Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as needed. Qualifications Previous collections, accounts receivable, customer service, or automotive dealership experience preferred. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Experience with dealership management software is a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. High school diploma or GED required; additional accounting coursework is a plus.
Pay:
From $40,000.00 per hour
