Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Richardson, Texas. In this role, you will handle account collections with attention to detail and efficiency, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in commercial and consumer collections to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and establish payment plans, settlements, and other arrangements within established guidelines.
- Analyze account details to develop effective strategies for recovering outstanding balances.
- Escalate complex or high-risk accounts to senior team members or management for further action.
- Achieve or exceed monthly goals related to collections, call volume, and quality standards.
- Ensure all collection efforts align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Address customer disputes, hardship requests, and complaints in a detail-oriented and empathetic manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including customer service, legal, and credit departments, to resolve account issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities in the system.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance collection efficiency. Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.
- Strong understanding of credit and billing collection processes.
- Proficiency in Salesforce administration and other relevant systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze account data and develop effective recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in collections.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
