The Atlantic Region Central Billing Office ("ARCBO") or ("CBO") provides business office services including billing, collections, cash posting, pre-access management, variance, and customer service to our affiliated Universal Health Services hospitals.

//jobs.uhs.com/atlantic-region-cbo The Atlantic Region CBO is seeking a dynamic and talentedRefunds Analyst - Overpayments. The Refund Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely research and resolution of credit balances including third party and patient telephone inquiries.
Key Responsibilities include:
Review daily worklist and researches assigned credit balances including checking for pen accounts, bad debt accounts, correctly posted contractual allowances and verifies source of payer. Completes necessary forms and assembles information correctly to clear credit balance from A/R. Review correspondences to resolve insurance request Documents all actions in note screen of Patient Accounting system. Complete expedited request for patient refunds in a timely manner Posts allowed adjustments as needed to assigned accounts. Directs any problems with accounts or where additional intervention is needed management for resolution. Understands regulatory requirements concerning credit balances for patient and third party payers. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or higher preferred. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook), customer focused for internal and external customers, strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Familiarity with insurance contracts and 1-3 years experience in a healthcare business office setting preferred.
