This position is responsible for managing insurance claims, account resolution, payment posting, and patient account follow-up while maintaining professional, HIPAA-compliant communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies. Responsibilities File, track, and follow up on insurance claims for assigned accounts Research and resolve aging, denied, and rejected claims in a timely manner Communicate with insurance companies regarding corrected billing and claim disputes Post insurance payments and adjustments based on Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) Submit electronic and paper claims with all required documentation and supporting materials Maintain a complete understanding of: EOBs Payer policies Company policies and procedures Respond professionally to payer requests, denials, and patient inquiries Maintain HIPAA-compliant interactions with patients, providers, staff, and outside agencies Assist with additional billing and administrative duties as needed Qualifications Previous medical billing experience preferred Knowledge of ICD-10 coding preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively Excellent communication and customer service skills Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Flexible spending account Paid time off Experience ICD-10: 2 years preferred Work Location In person
