Job Description

Job Summary:
The Billing Clerk will run reports, verify for accuracy, correct any errors. Customer service answering phones as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Run daily reports for services, provided. Verify accuracy. Ensure all routes are closed. Assist closing routes as needed.
  • Verifies accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors. Review landfill tonnage reports for accuracy. Check landfill list for accuracy in TRUX.
  • Run disposal report on billable and enter customers in monthly reports.
  • Run unbilled report (up to date Monthly totals -arrears, monthly advanced, quarterly advanced).
  • Print unbilled revenue for monthly arrears. Verify monthly arrears. Correct as necessary.
  • Run unbilled revenue monthly arrears, productions, disposal & monthly totals.
  • Verify monthly in advance totals to match the month before.
  • Perform reporting duties on the 1st and 15th (mid-month)
  • Run productivity report for number of loads to input into monthly total.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems as they arise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree or vocational school training preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
