We're looking for a dependable, detail‑oriented Billing Specialist with medical or pharmacy billing experience. Position Summary The Billing Specialist is responsible for billing medications and supplies dispensed through the pharmacy. This role reviews and confirms sales orders, creates invoices, submits claims and appeals, and follows up on outstanding claims to support timely and full collection. Key Responsibilities Review and confirm sales orders for accurate and timely billing Create invoices and submit claims to insurance payers Follow up on outstanding, rejected, or denied claims to support timely collection Research and resolve billing and claims issues Prepare and submit appeals and supporting documentation as needed Maintain accurate billing records and documentation Collaborate with team members to support accurate and efficient billing Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in medical billing Experience with insurance claims, denials, appeals, and collections Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through Ability to handle confidential information and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Knowledge of Medicare and Medi-Cal preferred Work Schedule In-person position Monday through Friday; day shift Overtime as needed
