Job Description
Administrative & Billing Assistant Clay Counseling & Family Therapy, PC is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Administrative & Billing Assistant to join our team. This position supports our behavioral health practice with insurance billing, provider credentialing, insurance panel enrollment, general office administration, social media marketing, and community outreach. We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, professional, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Credentialing Submit and track insurance claims and follow up on outstanding payments. Verify client insurance eligibility and benefits. Monitor and assist with denied, rejected, and unpaid claims. Assist with payment posting and billing reconciliation. Manage provider credentialing and recredentialing processes. Complete and track insurance panel enrollment and provider setup. Maintain provider information with insurance companies and payer portals. Assist with insurance panel billing and payer-specific billing requirements. Track credentialing approvals, effective dates, renewals, and recredentialing deadlines. Help resolve credentialing, enrollment, and billing issues that may delay reimbursement. Administrative Support Provide general administrative and office support. Assist with phone calls, emails, scheduling, data entry, and document preparation. Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical records. Assist leadership and clinical staff with day-to-day administrative needs. Maintain confidentiality of client and organizational information. Social Media & Marketing Assist with creating and scheduling social media content. Support development of flyers, announcements, and promotional materials. Help promote organizational programs, services, and events. Maintain professional and consistent organizational branding across digital platforms. Community Outreach Assist with community outreach and referral-building efforts. Communicate with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other partners. Help coordinate community events, resource fairs, workshops, and outreach activities. Maintain organized records of community and referral contacts. Qualifications Previous administrative, medical office, or billing experience preferred. Experience with medical or behavioral health insurance billing strongly preferred. Experience with provider credentialing, CAQH, insurance panel enrollment/setup, and payer portals preferred. Knowledge of insurance claims, eligibility verification, denials, payment posting, and reimbursement follow-up. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with computers, electronic records, and standard office software. Social media, marketing, or community outreach experience is a plus. Behavioral health or healthcare office experience is highly preferred.
