We're a small, growing office with one doctor and one hygienist, and we're hiring a part-time Dental Insurance Coordinator to manage insurance verification, claims, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle management. This is an in-person position, 12-20 hours per week dependent on workload. Hybrid work may be available in the future. Responsibilities Verify eligibility and benefits before appointments Prepare insurance estimates for treatment plans Submit pre-authorizations and predeterminations Submit claims daily, with attachments and narratives as needed Post insurance payments, EOBs, and ERAs Apply PPO write-offs and adjustments Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals Manage insurance A/R, including aging reports and timely follow-up Oversee the revenue cycle from verification through final payment Track collections and denial trends, and report key metrics to the doctor Maintain insurance plans, fee schedules, and benefits in Open Dental Qualifications 2+ years of dental insurance or billing experience preferred Experience with A/R management and revenue cycle management (RCM) Working knowledge of CDT codes Open Dental experience preferred; training available Strong attention to detail Able to work independently Team player and strong communication with front admin staff About Us Care Dental Associates has served the Meriden community for 50 years.
