Job Description
Job Details:
Position will join the team of Director of Finance and Billing Coordinator to prepare and invoice all consumer services provided in a timely manner, process and monitor payments and reconcile grants receivable with the financial statement each month. Other duties include maintaining and managing consumer finances.Billing Responsibilities:
- Prepare and mail/e-mail monthly invoices for all consumer services provided in accordance with current contracts and service provision authorization guidelines. Mail/e-mail invoices to the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD), Independent Support Agencies, Highlands County School Board, private funding sources, private pay, PSR and FCC.
- Submit billing for Waiver services provided to the State of Florida via the Web Portal for processing of Florida Medicaid payment monthly.
- Apply and monitor payments from all funding sources to assure prompt payments.
- Do follow-up calls on outstanding billing balances as needed.
- Maintain accurate and current grants receivable balance utilizing voucher sheets and payment log.
- Reconcile Grants Receivable to payments sheet and trial balance detail monthly with Director of Finance.
- Work with Development to ensure sponsorship invoices are credited and billed monthly
- Work with Development to reconcile post event funds and reconcile events.
- Write house account checks
- Count house account records monthly for checks and balances
- Answer phones when necessary.
Consumer Funds Responsibilities:
- Assist with writing checks to pay consumers' bills in a timely manner.
- Assist with transferring consumer funds between accounts when needed.
- Assist in balancing residential and supported living consumers' checkbooks monthly.
- Print activity on Residential and Supported Living Visa cards and verify all receipts have been turned in. Transfer money to card when needed.
- Other Finance, billing and consumer finance related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in related field plus one year of Medicaid billing experience, OR High School diploma or GED plus two years of relevant experience in Medicaid billing
- Must possess demonstrated office, computer, and bookkeeping experience.
- Must pass a Level 2 background screening upon employment, as described in Chapter 435, F.S. including local criminal screening, drug testing, and fingerprinting.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Must possess clean driving record (3 years) as supported by a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Must be a legal driver in the state of Florida as supported by providing copies of driver's license, registration and proof of insurance on private vehicle showing evidence of required insurance coverage as expressed by the current Arc insurance carrier.
