Non-Exempt Position Summary The Billing Specialist is responsible for the quality and accuracy of medical billing submissions, including proper CPT and ICD-10 code usage, timely filing, and the maintenance of invoices and contract files. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and resilience in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The Billing Specialist ensures accurate billing for procedures and services, and supports collaboration across departments to maintain billing compliance and efficiency. ✅ Key Responsibilities Accurately prepare andmaintaininvoices and contract files Apply proper CPT and ICD-10 codes to claims, confirming codes areaccurateand pertain to documented services Ensure clean claim submissions,timelyfiling, and billing accuracy Research and analyze medical bills, reports, and fee schedules for accuracy Translate medical services into billable claims and verify authorizations as needed Work withAccount Receivable team oninsurance denials and re-submit claims as appropriate Research and respond to customer inquiries in a professional andtimelymanner Collaborate with internal departments to ensure complete andaccuratebilling information Required Qualifications 1-2 years of billing experience High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with Workers' Compensation billing (WC) Knowledge of medical documentation and authorization processes Experience handling insurance denials and re-billing claims Skill Description Accuracy Ensures clean claim submissions and compliance with billing Problem Solving Research discrepancies and resolves billing issues Resilience Maintains focus in high-pressure, deadline-driven settings Adaptability Adjusts to varied billing processes across departments Collaboration Partners effectively with finance, operations, and clients Work Environment & Physical Requirements In office position Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off, holidays Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement MTI America is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
