The Billing Specialist assists the agency's billing department. Effective communication and ability to meet deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with Medicare and Insurance billing
• Assists with coordinate claim status
• Assists with rejections and returned claims, performing all necessary follow up to ensure collection of payments
• Properly document accounts clearly and status activity
• Assists with filing of Medicare billing, meets deadlines for NOA, 30 day and 60 day filing.
• Clarifying any information that is not clear
• Assist with audits
• Assists with preparing and submitting supply lists for billing
• Participate in staff meetings.
• Maintain an on-going knowledge of current Medicare and Insurance billing requirements
• All other duties as assigned

JOB CONDITIONS

• Requires working at the Sarasota Office
• Position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines
• Physical activities will include walking, sitting, stooping, and standing and minimal lifting of objects less than 20 pounds.
• The ability to communicate, both, verbally, and in writing, is required as frequent communication, by telephone, and in writing in English, is required.
• Adequate hearing on the telephone with no more than an amplifier
