Hawai'i Pacific Health is recognized nationally for its excellence in patient care and the use of electronic health records to improve quality and patient safety. Our Physician Billing department works with physicians, hospital administration and patients to provide billing and collection services throughout Hawai'i Pacific Health. Our staff takes care to enter complete, timely and accurate physician billing data into the Accounts Receivable System and process accurate refunds to patients and third party payers. We value these relationships and promote collaboration between clients, providers and administrators to ensure that services are properly provided and paid for. If you are organized, meticulous and have a gift for accounts management, you could be the ideal candidate for this position. In this role you will perform physician billing, follow-up and credit balance functions. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of physician claims; follow-up on accounts receivable; making necessary corrections to charges; and processing timely and accurate refunds to patients and third party payers. We are looking for someone motivated and self-directed with excellent organizational and customer service skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Administrative Minimum Qualifications:
High school or equivalent. Six (6) months of experience in medical billing or collections. Demonstrated experience/knowledge of health insurance claim filing requirements for third party payers and knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Business or Health Care Administration. Medical terminology course.
