A Billing Specialist performs administrative work at financial institutions and banks that handle bills, receipts, and invoices. Manages the status of client accounts and tracks financial records, charges, and receipts of the accounts.

Position Summary:
The Billing Specialist processes billing functions and provides administrative, secretarial and clerical support to others in the office to maintain an efficient office environment.
COMPENSATION
- Hourly wages from $20.18 plus credit for related experience/degrees beyond requirement!
Essential Responsibilities :
Complete all billing operations for the organization Identify and resolve client billing discrepancies. Assist in preparation of annual reports. Invoice entry into Quickbooks. Process payments from insurance companies and prepare corresponding journal entries. Review accounts for possible assignment and make recommendations. Perform various collections actions; including contacting client, responsible parties or funders by phone, correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payers etc. Maintain effective and prompt communication with supervisor and administrator. SS, SSI, VA & RR
checks for clients, allowing each their personal needs allowance & recording it in residents trust account ledger and resident account ledger. Receipt client payroll and figure client participation. Maintain clients payment ledger.
Key Competencies :
Proficient in MS office. In-depth knowledge of account, data and administrative management practices.
Qualifications Required :
2 year degree in accounting or 2 years accounting experience.
Preferred :
Prior experience in healthcare finances. Prior Quickbooks experience.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift and carry at least 25 lbs ≤ 25% of shift. Ability to coordinate repetitive use and movement of arms and hands ≥ 75% of shift.
