Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper specializing in Construction Billing to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the accounting department by managing construction project billing, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and assisting with various bookkeeping tasks. Your expertise will help streamline billing processes, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to the overall financial health of our organization. Duties Assist in preparing and processing construction project invoices and billing documentation Reconcile accounts receivable related to construction projects, ensuring timely collections Support accounts payable processes by verifying vendor invoices and coding expenses accurately Utilize QuickBooks Online to input data and generate reports Assist with payroll processing related to project labor costs and subcontractor payments Prepare spreadsheets for budgeting, project cost tracking, and financial analysis purposes Support month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring all transactions are properly recorded according to accounting standards Experience Proven bookkeeping experience with a focus on construction Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is essential Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant accounting standards for construction Ability to work efficiently with spreadsheets and financial software systems while maintaining high accuracy levels Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in account analysis and account reconciliation tasks Basic knowledge of budgeting processes within an accounting context is advantageous Join us as an Assistant Bookkeeper - Construction Billing to be a vital part of our financial team!
