This is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, follow-up on unpaid claims, and maximizing reimbursement while maintaining compliance with all payer guidelines. Key Responsibilities Review and correct claim prior to submission Follow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims with insurance companies Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits when needed Work aging reports and identify trends in denials with recommendations for improvements Ensure compliance with all payer regulations and guidelines Communicate with front desk, billing team, and providers to resolve billing issues Assist with patient billing inquiries and payment plans as needed Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of medical billing experience Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Experience with payer portals (i.e. Medicare Connex, Availity, UHC, etc) Experience with EMR/PM systems Strong understanding of claim denials and appeals process Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Understanding medical billing process and guidelines Experience in interventional pain management and vascular preferred but not required Knowledge of prior authorizations, predeterminations, and referrals What We Offer Competitive salary (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off and holidays 401K Retirement plans
