Job Description:
Accounting Specialist - Billing LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an Accounting Specialist for a project billing role in downtown Cincinnati. This role supports the accounting function with a primary focus on project-based billing and financial coordination. The individual will work closely with internal teams and external contacts to ensure accurate invoicing, timely payments, and reliable financial reporting. This position is 100% onsite and will pay between $58K and $72K annually. Parking is paid for by the company.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue customer invoices based on project activity and completed work Partner with internal staff to verify time entry accuracy and billing data Respond to billing-related inquiries from internal teams and external contacts Manage billing activities throughout the project lifecycle, including setup, funding, invoicing, and closeout Process purchase orders and related documentation Apply and reconcile incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts Review billing reports and perform accuracy checks Assist with month-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliations Support leadership with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a billing, accounting, or similar role Associate degree in business is preferred but not required Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Service-oriented mindset with effective written and verbal communication skills Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to analyze and organize data Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Well-organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment If you are interested in learning more, please apply now.
