Job Summary Roessel Joy is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join a growing healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and maintaining clear communication with insurance providers and patients. Your expertise will help optimize revenue cycle management while providing exceptional customer service to our patients and healthcare partners. Duties Prepare and submit medical claims using billing software, ensuring accuracy with coding standards such as CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG classifications. Review medical records and documentation to verify proper coding and billing compliance. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims by communicating with insurance companies and resolving discrepancies efficiently. Maintain detailed records of all billing activities, including patient accounts, payment histories, and correspondence related to claims. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify billing issues and ensure correct documentation for reimbursement. Utilize EMR and EHR systems to manage patient information accurately. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding billing statements, insurance coverage, and payment options. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing with knowledge of healthcare claims management processes. Strong understanding of health insurance policies, medical terminology, and medical records management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications along with experience using billing software, EMR/EHR systems. Knowledge of medical collection procedures and healthcare compliance standards. Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in coding and billing procedures. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and insurance companies. RJAF123

$26.00 - $33.00 per hour
