Full-time, Monday-Friday Job Type:
In-person Position Summary M&M Medical Supply is seeking an experienced part-time Medical Biller to support our Mendon location. This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable, resolving claim denials, and following up on outstanding claims with Massachusetts insurance carriers. The ideal candidate has strong medical billing experience, understands insurance requirements, and can independently research and resolve unpaid or denied claims. Responsibilities Work assigned accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding insurance claims Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and requests for additional information Identify the reason claims were not paid and take the appropriate corrective action Submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals when necessary Verify insurance eligibility, coverage, authorization, and documentation requirements Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and payment issues Review explanation of benefits and electronic remittance information Document all follow-up activity accurately in the billing system Identify recurring billing issues and communicate trends to management Assist with payment posting and account reconciliation as needed Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company policies Qualifications Previous medical billing and accounts receivable experience required Experience working with Massachusetts insurance plans, including Medicare, MassHealth, and commercial insurers Strong understanding of denials, rejections, appeals, and insurance follow-up Knowledge of medical terminology, HCPCS codes, modifiers, and insurance billing requirements Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing experience strongly preferred Brightree experience preferred Strong computer, documentation, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage priorities and work independently Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to consistent attendance About M&M Medical Supply M&M Medical Supply provides durable medical equipment and healthcare products to patients throughout the region. Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
