Peak Pediatric Care is seeking an experienced Payment Posting Specialist to take primary ownership of insurance and patient payment posting for our pediatric practice. Payment posting is the primary focus of this position. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience posting both electronic and manual insurance payments, reviewing EOBs/ERAs, applying adjustments, and reconciling payment batches. This is not an entry-level billing position.

Pay:
$24.00-$27.00/hour, based on experience Primary Responsibilities Post electronic and manual insurance payments accurately Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs Post contractual adjustments, deductibles, coinsurance and copays correctly Reconcile posted payments to remittances and payment batches Research unapplied, misapplied or discrepant payments Post and reconcile patient payments Maintain accurate patient account balances Additional Responsibilities Answer patient billing and balance questions Establish and manage patient payment plans Follow up on outstanding patient balances Assist with billing questions at check-in when needed Work closely with the Billing Manager and billing team Qualifications At least 1 year of medical payment-posting or medical billing experience Hands-on insurance payment-posting experience strongly preferred Experience working directly with EOBs and/or ERAs Experience reconciling payment batches Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned work Comfortable communicating with patients about balances and payment arrangements Medical office experience preferred. Pediatric experience is helpful but not required.

$24.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
