Billing Specialist Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc - 3.5 Reading, MA Job Details Full-time $33 - $36 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Research Full Job Description Weston & Sampson is seeking a Billing Specialist with 3-5 years of experience to join our Accounting team in our Reading, MA office. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional and team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to take on increasing responsibilities as the company continues to grow. What You'll Do Perform a high volume of project-based billing activities in accordance with contract terms and company policies Support collections efforts by monitoring accounts receivable and following up on outstanding balances with clients Complete account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Coordinate with the Accounts Payable Team regarding PWP charges Coordinate with Accounts Payable Team and G/L team for Intercompany billings/payables. Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed within the department Collaborate with team members and project managers to resolve billing and accounting inquiries Initial responsibilities will focus on one or more of the above areas, with opportunities to expand responsibilities over time. What You Will Bring Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field (strongly preferred but not required) 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or a related role Experience in the construction and/or engineering industry is a plus Experience using Deltek VantagePoint is a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Solid understanding of basic accounting principles Strong problem-solving, research, documentation, and data analysis skills Detail-oriented, reliable, and professional with a positive attitude Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to multitask, adapt quickly to change, and follow tasks through to completion Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment and assist with additional duties as needed
