Our team of caregivers works together to provide our residents with the ability to reach their highest level of physical and social well-being. For all of our services, we strive to make our facility feel like a home away from home. We are seeking a Billing Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The primary responsibilities of this position include preparation and processing of bills for Medicare Part A and B, Michigan Medicaid, and private insurance; as well as the monitoring, tracking and collection of all receivables. Success candidates will possess strong self-management, initiative & prioritization skills to successfully work in a self-directed environment that requires managing multiple tasks & deadlines. Essential Functions of the position include: Prepare, submit & track clean claims to all payers and accurately apply received payments. Achieve and maintain DSO (Days Sales Outstanding). Work collaboratively with facility representatives (front office) to ensure timely & accurate data collection. Support private collection efforts.
Qualified Candidates will have:
A High School Diploma with an Associates Degree in Business or Accounting preferred A minimum of two years of medical billing experience (we use Point Click Care) An understanding of Medicaid rules & regulations Ability to prioritize, organize and complete multiple projects simultaneously Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook Ability to manage multiple Strong social & interpersonal skills All persons accepting a conditional offer of employment are then required to undergo a criminal background check.
