Revenue Cycle Specialist (Skilled Nursing Facility)

SKILLED NURSING FACILITY BILLING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist to join the business office team of our Skilled Nursing Facility. This position reports to the Business Office Manager and is responsible for hands-on billing, collections, accounts receivable follow-up, denial resolution, Medicaid pending follow-up, and reimbursement support. This is not an entry-level medical billing position. Applicants must have direct billing and collections experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care environment. What You Will Do

• Bill Medicare Part A, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, commercial insurance, hospice, and private pay accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable aging and follow up on unpaid claims and balances.
• Resolve rejected claims, denials, underpayments, authorization issues, and payer discrepancies.
• Perform private pay collections and communicate with residents and responsible parties regarding account balances.
• Track Medicaid-pending accounts and assist with application and redetermination documentation.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and payer changes.
• Participate in Triple Check and collaborate with Admissions, MDS, Nursing, Therapy, and the Business Office Manager.
• Help identify reimbursement issues and prevent avoidable revenue loss. What We Are Looking For
• At least two years of Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care billing and collections experience.
• Hands-on experience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Managed Medicaid, commercial insurance, and private pay billing.
• Strong accounts receivable, collections, denial resolution, and payer follow-up skills.
• Knowledge of census, payer setup, authorizations, resident liability, and coinsurance.
• Excellent organization, accuracy, communication, and customer service skills.
• PointClickCare experience preferred.
• Michigan Medicaid experience preferred. Why Join Our Team?
