Our billing team plays an essential role in supporting our physicians, staff, and patients by ensuring the revenue cycle runs efficiently and accurately. We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and can work independently while being a dependable member of a collaborative team. What You'll Do In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of medical billing and revenue-cycle functions, including: Managing charge entry, claims submission, and payment posting Following up on insurance and patient accounts with accuracy and attention to detail Researching complex insurance requirements and resolving billing issues Managing denials, appeals, and outstanding accounts receivable (A/R) Monitoring reports and financial data to identify opportunities for process improvement Processing surgery pre-certifications Managing specialized Workers' Compensation billing Maintaining accurate and timely billing records Working A/R to ensure timely reimbursement and resolution of outstanding balances What We're Looking For Experience Minimum of 3 years of medical billing experience Orthopedic billing experience is strongly preferred Hands-on experience with Workers' Compensation billing guidelines is a plus Skills & Qualities Strong knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance requirements Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment Highly organized, dependable, and accountable Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively A proactive approach to identifying and resolving billing issues Are You a Billing Problem-Solver?
