Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the end-to-end billing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial standards. Your expertise in accounting systems and financial software will drive efficient invoicing, accounts receivable management, and data entry tasks. Duties Prepare, review, and send accurate invoices using various financial software such as Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and others Manage accounts receivable by tracking payments, following up on overdue accounts, and reconciling customer accounts with precision Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure all financial data aligns with GAAP and governmental accounting standards Handle data entry tasks related to billing transactions, journal entries, and account analysis with high accuracy and attention to detail Support the accounts payable process by verifying vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information Conduct account reconciliation activities including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and ledger reviews to uphold financial integrity Assist in month-end closing procedures by preparing reports, analyzing discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with SOX controls Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong background in bookkeeping, account analysis, and account reconciliation Familiarity with accounting systems such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, PeopleSoft or similar platforms is highly preferred Knowledge of financial concepts including GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices Experience working with multiple financial software packages like QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar tools for invoicing and data management Strong understanding of technical accounting principles including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, credit analysis and general ledger management Excellent numeracy skills combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while demonstrating strong attention to detail and organizational skills Join us as a Billing Specialist where your expertise will directly impact our organization's financial stability!
