We provide high-touch, specialty-focused billing support with an experienced and tightly knit team. We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Biller to join our team. Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller with hands-on experience using NexTech, AdvancedMD or Modernizing Medicine. The ideal candidate will have strong command of the billing process end-to-end, as well as excellent communication skills to engage with patients regarding their statements and balances. Key Responsibilities Submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner Work A/R, denials, and follow-ups with insurance carriers Post payments (EOBs and ERAs), adjustments, and patient payments Review and apply appropriate coding, including J codes and ophthalmology-specific modifiers Respond to patient billing inquiries by phone in a professional and clear manner Collaborate with team members to ensure billing accuracy and timely revenue cycle performance Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience with NexTech or AdvancedMD At least 2 years of medical billing experience Strong computer skills and technical proficiency Strong understanding of insurance guidelines (Medicare, commercial payers) Excellent English verbal and written communication skills Comfortable handling patient phone calls and billing questions Willingness to learn, technology savviness, curiosity Bonus Qualifications Experience with ophthalmology or retina billing Familiarity with coding for eye injections, imaging, and surgical procedures Knowledge of J codes, modifiers •25,•57, RT/LT), and global period handling
