For nearly three decades, Cary Skin Center has provided specialized skin cancer care through a highly respected team of Mohs surgeons and healthcare professionals. We are looking for a dependable, career-minded professional who values stability, teamwork, and doing things right the first time. The Role The Billing & Insurance Specialist helps maintain the financial health of the practice by ensuring claims are accurate, payments are properly applied, and insurance issues are resolved promptly. This position requires sound judgment, persistence, professionalism, and close attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing, reviewing, and submitting clean claims Verifying coding, documentation, and payer requirements Posting payments, adjustments, and remittances accurately Investigating denials, rejections, and underpayments Following up on outstanding insurance and patient balances Communicating professionally with patients, insurers, and internal team members Explaining benefits, balances, and payment policies clearly and compassionately Identifying trends and helping improve billing and collection processes Maintaining compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and applicable payer regulations Working within Nextech, TriZetto, and related billing platforms The Candidate We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and committed to building a lasting career with our organization. Preferred qualifications include:

Prior experience in medical billing, insurance follow-up, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle operations Strong knowledge of

ICD-10, CPT

coding, medical terminology, and insurance processes Experience resolving claim denials and communicating with commercial and government payers Proficiency with practice-management systems, EMRs, and electronic clearinghouses Nextech and TriZetto experience strongly preferred Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills A consistent employment history and demonstrated commitment to previous employers A professional, team-oriented approach and strong sense of personal accountability Dermatology or surgical billing experience is a plus Why Cary Skin Center?
