hours...2:30-7:30 Responsibilities Bi-Lingual Spanish for Medical Translation Insurance verifications Review and verify medical billing information, including patient details, insurance data, and service codes such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases). Prepare and submit accurate healthcare claims using billing software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to insurance companies and third-party payers. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to facilitate prompt resolution and maximize reimbursements. Maintain detailed records of billing transactions, payments, adjustments, and collections within medical records management systems. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation of services rendered and accurate coding for reimbursement purposes. Stay current with changes in health insurance policies, coding guidelines, and healthcare regulations affecting billing procedures. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries related to billing statements and payment options. Scanning for paperless charts Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare claims management within a medical office environment. Strong knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards. Familiarity with medical collection processes and health insurance policies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and other relevant healthcare technology tools. Excellent understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare compliance standards. Ability to interpret complex insurance policies and ensure accurate claim submissions. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to prevent errors in billing documentation.
