Full-Time (Part-Time option available) About Us A Gastroenterology Ambulatory Surgical Center/Endoscopy center in Flushing, Queens serving a diverse patient population. We specialize in gastrointestinal procedures including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, with a strong focus on efficiency, compliance, and patient-centered care. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to manage all aspects of billing and revenue cycle operations for our endoscopy center. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment. Key Responsibilities Submit and manage claims for GI procedures (e.g., colonoscopy, EGD, polypectomy) Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Perform charge entry and coding review (CPT/ICD-10) Follow up on denied or unpaid claims Manage accounts receivable and aging reports Post payments (insurance and patient) Handle insurance appeals and resubmissions Communicate with patients regarding billing questions Ensure compliance with payer and regulatory requirements Qualifications No experience needed! We are willing to train the right candidate who is dedicated to the field. Preferred prior medical billing experience (GI or ASC experience strongly preferred) Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and endoscopy billing workflows Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid Familiarity with EMR/EHR and billing software Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills Preferred but not required: Experience in gastroenterology or ambulatory surgery center (ASC) billing Knowledge of modifier usage (e.g.,
