$60,000-$65,000 annually My client, an established dental practice in Massapequa, NY, is looking to add a Dental Billing Specialist to their team. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with insurance and billing, and confident communicating directly with patients. Key Responsibilities Handle dental insurance claims, process payments, verify coverage, and follow up on outstanding or denied claims Resolve billing questions and insurance-related issues in a timely and professional manner Maintain accurate financial and patient dental records using dental practice management software Review account information and ensure billing records are complete and up to date Communicate with patients regarding basic treatment plans, financial responsibilities, insurance coverage, and billing expectations Answer patient questions related to billing, payments, insurance, and appointments Partner closely with the front office and clinical teams to ensure a smooth patient experience Support general administrative and billing needs as required Qualifications Prior dental billing, dental insurance, or dental office experience strongly preferred Familiarity with dental insurance claims, benefits verification, payments, and patient billing Experience using dental practice management software is preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable discussing financial responsibilities with patients in a professional and empathetic manner Ability to work onsite in Massapequa Monday through Friday This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a stable, full-time role with an established dental practice and a consistent weekday schedule.
