Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dental Billing Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Prepare and submit dental insurance claims using billing software (dentrix) Review patient records and documentation to verify coding accuracy and completeness for billing purposes Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through healthcare claims management processes, including resubmissions and appeals Collaborate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and clarify coverage details Maintain detailed records of billing activities, payments received, and outstanding balances using Dentrix and specialized billing software Stay current with healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and coding updates to ensure compliance Assist patients with billing inquiries, explaining charges clearly and providing excellent customer service throughout the collection process Front desk responsibilities — greeting patients, answering phones etc. Skills Proficiency in dental coding. Strong knowledge of healthcare claims management, health insurance policies, and dental billing procedures Experience working with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms in a dental or medical setting Familiarity with dental terminology, dental records management, and documentation standards Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex billing information clearly Ability to navigate billing software efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of dental office procedures combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and record keeping Join our team as a Dental Billing Specialist if you are passionate about accuracy in healthcare finance operations!
