Job Description

Job Title:
Legal Billing Specialist Company/Industry:
Well-established law firm
Location:
Woodbury, NY (Long Island)
Salary:
$65-85K/yr depending on experience, flexibility for the right candidate, plus benefits
Status:
Direct Hire, In-Office FT Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain and invoice monthly and quarterly billing for assigned clients
  • Review time entries to ensure accuracy and that client guidelines are being adhered to
  • Review and process write offs, transfers and other time and expense adjustments
  • Review new and updated billing guidelines to ensure proper compliance
  • Ensure bills are submitted promptly through the clients e-billing system
  • Appeal client reductions to submitted invoices
  • Prepare system generated reports such as AR Summary, Billing History and Aged WIP
  • Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and unapplied funds
  • Prepare spreadsheets and other documentation as needed
  • Assist with special projects as needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of legal billing and electronic billing experience
  • Experience with E-Billing software
  • Strong command of English language and writing skills to ensure efficient communication with clients and attorneys
  • Knowledge of legal billing processes and related software applications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $65,000.
