Job Description
The City of Alliance is anticipating an opening at the Water Billing Office. The Billing Office operates 8:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Process daily cash and check deposits. Respond to Title Searches with Realtors and Title Company's. Process new Water Billing Applications and enter final readings. Calculate and balance credit card payments and reports daily/monthly. Process EZSCAN to submit electronic check payments daily. Create and maintain spreadsheets to assist with daily and month end balancing. Scheduling work order appointments between customers/water distribution availability. Directly work with customers to resolve any concerns in person or over the phone. Process mail - to and from the office as necessary. Assist in training at the front window as needed. Assist with front window coverage as necessary. Send weekly report to Kimble for account updates. Resolve customer concerns with Kimble service as needed. Post waste hauler reads into Ampstun system from WWTP monthly. Assist with filing and organization of office records and processes Perform all other duties deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the office. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to communicate well with others in person, over the phone or electronically. Must be proficient with computers. This position will answer to the Water Billing Coordinator. Hourly rates will be based on 35 hours per week, 1,820 per year. Starting wage is $17.79 per hour. Applications are available at the Mayor's Office, 504 E.
